Seven Layer Dip is the ultimate party food. Everyone seems to like it and it couldn’t be easier to make. Even people who don’t like to cook can buy prepared beans and guac, pre-shredded cheese, and at some stores you can even get pre-cut produce. It doesn’t get much easier than that.
•1 can of refried beans, any flavor, or two cups of homemade
•2 cups guac prepared according to your favorite recipe, or a 16 oz container of prepared guacamole
•2 cups sour cream, divided
•1 can black olives, sliced
•1 bunch of green onions or one small yellow onion, chopped
•2-3 small tomatoes, chopped
•1 8 oz block of cheddar cheese, shredded
Spread the beans in the bottom of a 9×13 pan. Spread the guacamole over the beans. Scoop some of the sour cream into a ziploc baggie. Set aside. Spread the rest of the sour cream over the guacamole. Top with layers of olives, onions, and tomatoes. Spread the cheese evenly over all of the toppings. Cut off a very small corner of the ziploc bag and pipe sour cream on top in Halloween designs as desired. I used cookie cutters as a guide for the pumpkin and ghost. Serve with festive Halloween colored chips.
